Inspired by the arrest of a former leading member of the Aum Shinrikyo sect in 2011, KIMURA portraits the apparently ordinary life of a couple sharing a small apartment – as it turns out, that life was anything but ordinary, but it still seems to have been centered not only around a dark secret from their past, but also around the question that can apply to any couple: "Where does love go?"

Born in 1979 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, Bunyo KIMURA directed his first feature-length film GOODBYE in 2008 about a family that lives and works at the nuclear fuel reprocessing plant in Rokkasho Village. It received a theatrical release in 2009 and was also screened to acclaim at NIPPON CONNECTION Film Festival 2009.
