Budori lives a humble and happy life with his parents and sister in a small house near the forest. When a particularly harsh winter hits the forest and deprives Budori of his family, he is forced to set out on a journey.
SUGII´s enigmatic and hauntingly beautiful film about family, life and death is based on a story by Kenji MIYAZAWA.
